Theodora Onoapoi is a singer,song writer and actor.
She launched unto
the spot light as a singer on the Voice
Nigeria, where she blew the
minds of all the coaches in
less that 20 seconds and was tagged "The
vocal beast".
Although she didn't emerge winner on the show, she has
since then put pen to paper and got back to writing songs.
"Gini mere"
is her very first recoding single and carries a
message of the ills of
abusive relationships, also speaking
on the emotional turmoil from
a broken heart.
She describes her music as a fusion of the old high
life
sound with the new sound to connect more with both
the younger and
older generation. She may not have
been popular but she has her cap of
many feathers as
a Broadway actor and singer, "most of my experiences
and voice training came from singing and performing
live as an Actor"
she says. She has played lead roles
in some of the award winning
Broadway productions,
from "Kakadu the musical" , "Jesus Christ Super
Star"
and "Heartbeat the musical" by playhouse initiative and
Ludofo
productions respectively. Working with the likes
of Benneth Ogbeiwi,
Dupe Ige kachi, Joke Silva and
Olu Jacobs. "This is just a tip of the
ice berg,
expect more excellence" she has a voice that you
only hear
once in a life time.
